Some of you know about Spirit Aerosystems and their recent commitment to bring a new facility to our area but others may not. Either way I thought it would be good to link some resources here that could catch you up on some recent events and keep you posted as to some upcoming ones. First, here's a link from The Kinston Free Press video archives showing Govenor Mike Easley and Spirit Vice President John Lewelling among others back in May, 2008 announcing that Spirit would be opening a new facility in the Lenoir County area in Kinston North Carolina's Global Transpark ( GTP ).

Then a link to a site from Spirit which will not only offer tons of information about them and their plans, but also will be updating new positions that they are hiring, remember their eventual plans have them bringing 1000 plus jobs to the Eastern North Carolina site.
